What are Datatables?

A datatable is a collection of related data that is retained in a tabular format within a database or data platform. In relational database models tables may be interpreted as a representation of relationships, though not a direct equivalent. Additionally, chart and graph databases can be represented with datatables, though as before, these are not direct equivalents and fail to capture the full representation of these various data structures.
